FAQ

Quick answers.

Yes. MIT licensed, no ads, no account, no telemetry.

Not on Windows: GCC 16, clangd and GDB are bundled. On Linux, install g++, gdb and clangd from your distro.

Yes. The portable zip runs from any folder, with no admin rights or registry changes.

C++98 through C++26 (C++17 by default). Switch in Settings → Compiler.

A common false positive for new Electron apps. Choose “More info” → “Run anyway”, or right-click the .exe → Properties → Unblock.

Yes. Click any part of the UI in the Theme Customizer to recolor it, add a background image or video, then export the theme.

It's named after Sameko Saba. She kept me motivated while I was making this app, and I listened to her karaoke streams a lot while building it. Sameko Dev C++ is a free, unofficial fan project. It isn't connected to her, and I don't make any money from it.

Saba, if you ever see this: hi! I wanted to ask your permission, but I couldn't find a way to message you. I'd also love to make a Saba theme for the app, but I haven't, because I wanted to ask you first. If you'd rather I change the name or anything else, please email me at [email protected] and I'll do it right away.

Less setup.
More you.
